Maintain this pattern two to five more times, before walking for ten minutes as a cool off. The goal of this iniital workout is for you to see to help you gauge your next run.

In subsequent training sessions you will want to increase the time period of the jogging periods and/or reduce the quantity of rest time in-between each jogging cycle.

Running Form and Efficiency
Technique is very important when you are new to running as if you learn proper running posture and form at this early stage then this saves having to re learn anything it at a later stage. .

Decent running technique is vital as it means you can run efficiently, and that means you can run for more time with less work. Moreover, from a health point of view, if you keep up a good running form then you'll reduce the chance of running related injury.

When you out jogging, you need to have a somewhat straight back and be bending ever so slightly forward from the waist. Usually, new runners have issues with this because they tend to look down at their feet - If you look forward rather than down then your body should naturally line-up itself in the proper way. Jogging bent over is not good running posture as you put a great deal of strain on your lower spine.

When it comes to your running stride, you should aim to move your legs almost like a cyclist, ensuring that you keep your feet relatively in line with the direction you are heading for the most efficient stride.
