Russell Solomon Getting Industry Attention

Who is Russell Solomon, you ask? It is altogether likely that you are not yet familiar with the name of this author, who recently released his first published book in October. The book, titled “The Lost Pendulum of Montrose,” is one of those rare novels that instantly captures the attention of the industry as well as of individual readers. In fact, the buzz around this novel is almost deafening. As with many things, there is often a big buzz, but the product (or book, in this case) fails to hold up to expectations. Yet this masterfully written and expertly researched book is altogether worthy of the pedestal it has been placed upon.

Just one of the many industry elite who have been garnishing Russell Solomon and his new book with praise is the great author Adrienne Monohan, whose most recent novel, “Myth of the White Dragon,” has also enjoyed a great deal of attention. Adrienne Monohan, like so many of Solomon's new fans, loves how this author has masterfully created a world where an unsuspecting paleontologist finds himself caught up in a web of clues that take him down an adventurous and often perilous road. The book is, by all accounts, a real page-turner.

So many novels today receive industry attention, but lavish praise is often reserved for authors who have some established clout or perhaps even a famous or celebrity name on the byline. Russell Solomon, a journalist and amateur paleontologist who gets his greatest pleasure in life from spending time with his wife and two young children, has neither clout nor a famous name behind him (at least, not yet). Yet the attention this book has received is phenomenal, and everyone who has read the book can attest that the industry praise the book has received is well deserved indeed.
