With every passing day the number of websites is increasing and so is the rush to grab the top place in search results. Competition is fierce now. Even a few years back SEO was effective and it was easier to rank in the search engine result page. That was probably the golden era of SEO when just few changes like introducing keywords in Meta tag ensured high rankings. But now the rules of the game have changed.

SEO experts are burning night oil to get rankings and even if they achieve some results it is short-lived because for a single keyword there are probably thousands of websites competing with each other. Each has its own SEO technique, own strategy but only a few with consistent effort are achieving results.

The biggest difficulty that SEO experts face is the expectation of the clients. Many people think that SEO is a overnight process and good search engine rankings can be achieved quickly, but unfortunately it is not so. SEO takes time and effort to bear fruit, at least nowadays it is taking more time than before.

Nowadays, a website is popping up every moment on the web, and search engines have to bear the brunt of indexing each of them. Huge number of websites thriving on the internet and competition has risen. So has SEO. Everyone wants to rank in the top bracket for search keywords. Earlier it was easier to rank for any hot keywords or phrases, nowadays it’s even difficult to rank for those keywords that have limited use. And even if you achieve ranking to surface in the top, the next day you are out of it.

Problem escalates more for new business and websites. A site must be bit older now, for SEO ranking to take place. Expectations are high for business thriving on the net, and search engines are getting stricter. The happy part is search quality has enhanced a lot compared to previous days. People can now get the exact bit of information they are looking for.
