Samsung F300 – Face The Music Or Face The Phone
So long you want to just read the messages and look up contacts, the screen suffices the requirements. But in case you want to indulge in some web browsing, the screen displays “switching” and you have to turn the handset over to use the larger screen on the MP3 player side. The screen resolution is good, and makes viewing a pleasure. Having said that, one should also note that the dual screen has been the cynosure of criticism as well. The constant switching of the screen is a little irritating, and most of the time, its hard to distinguish between both the sides for a new user. Even the Menu system is a little messed up. Pictures, music and videos can be transferred between the Samsung F300 and a PC via USB. When working over USB the device can operate in two ways – Media transfer mode and PC studio mode. Other alternative is provided by Bluetooth. The Samsung F300 is a tri-band, sans 3G support. Which means downloading is limited to GPRS and EDGE speed. The 2 MP camera comes handy to seize moments, while it also supports self portrait. Samsung F300 does a good job in terms of providing a novel design to the market. But things would have been much better if they had made the device a little more reliable. Nonetheless, for people who are not too fussy, the handset is worth a look.
