Sat Nav Shoes
The brand new technology ‘Sat Nav Shoes’ have been released by Droidwear to help travellers navigate their way from one destination to another. The shoes have clever GPS technology installed in to them to guide users from postcode to postcode. The left Sat Nav Shoe contains the technology that will control the unit and will be accessible from underneath the tongue of the shoe. The user will have to enter their starting postcode and their final destination postcode to receive directions. The directions will appear in the form of basic images directing the user which way to go. A small LED bubble on the shoe will act as a visual guide to the user to help them find their way and will produce a beeping sound if the user started to travel in the wrong direction. The shoes have built in speakers which will also alert the user to which route to take, but for those who wish for their footwear to remain silent rather than shouting ‘turn right in 50 yards’ there is a Bluetooth hook-up to allow the user to hear the instructions through an ear piece or mobile phone. The shoes are powered by two rechargeable AA batteries and will limit the user to 2.5 hours of journey time. The shoes are now available for around £130.
