Satellite Tv - All You Need

Prior to the arrival of satellite TV in the mid 1990s, there were only two ways of transmitting TV signals. One was the tradition air to air via an antenna on the roof of your house, and other was by transmission along a cable. With the birth of satellite TV, a new revolution has begun.

The greatest advantage that satellite TV has over its other competitors is that you can receive far more programs than with any other media. There are literally hundreds of thousands of programs being beamed across the world. The only thing you need is a satellite dish, a digital TV and decoder box to decode the incoming signal(s).

Satellite really has kicked off big time. With the new installation companies emerging, prices have been driven well down as they struggle to maximize their market share. You will be able to buy the complete package, including survey for optimum dish location, installation, and making the necessary connection in your home for a modest amount.

The other thing of course is signing up the network and package of your choice. There are many options, but you will undoubtedly choose one that suits your particular taste the most.

For the braver of you who want to do it independently from the major networks, you can install a mobile dish which, when repositioned (an automatic process), can pick up signals from lots of satellites. However, this is really only for the skilled enthusiast.

In addition to TV programs you can now route your telephone calls via your satellite, and your internet connection as well as some of the more conventional things like text.

The new HD revolution is also available via your satellite TV, enhancing your viewing experience to the highest levels. The TV must of course be an HD model.
