Satellite Tv On My Pc Review

Whats all this about watching satellite TV on my PC? Well I'd heard a lot about it and it did sound rather good so I looked further into it. If I was to get satellite TV on my PC I would benefit from a whole range of channels, possibly up to 3 thousand, obviously not all these would be of use to me but it seemed an impressive figure never the less. Movies, sports and music channel alongside news channels were meant to be one of the main attractions, I was just slightly skeptical of this 'satellite TV on my PC' system.

The first steps in enabling me to receive satellite TV on my PC was to make sure my sound/graphics card was up to scratch. I just wasn't sure what spec was required. To be honest though for most modern PC systems a standard graphics and sound card will be fine. It is then down to you if you prefer a secondary set of speakers and bigger monitor but this only enhances the satellite TV on PC software.

There are many software packages claiming to transform your PC into a satellite receiving multifunction system. Care has to be taken though when selecting a satellite TV on PC system.
On my quest to find the best package I went through about Eight different types of software. Some were average, some good and others next to useless. At first I tried getting a free software package so I could get satellite TV on my PC. Unfortunately this was about as much use as a chocolate fire guard- I soon realized I had to pay a small fee.

Usually most satellite TV on PC software requires a one time fee, some offer subscriptions but thats not the best route in my opinion. After trying a few paid systems I found two that seemed to stand out from the rest, in means of channels, quality and reliability. The value was also good.

At the forefront I would say Satellite TV For PC Elite was the best all rounder, it offered an extensive amount of channels, instant download with good quality. The second best would be Satellite TV For PC Professional. This is basically the same but less features and a cheaper price tag. There is a Titanium version available also but to be honest its just more money with more channels, I found Satellite TV For PC Elite ample for me.

So is it really worth it? Well I must say I'm quite happy with the satellite TV on my PC system. I hooked it up to a large monitor and ran a decent set of speakers and get great sound and picture and best of all free viewing. There are quite a lot of foreign channels as well but sometimes these can be interesting too. One would probably find it hard to make use of the full 3 thousand channels but any satellite TV fan should at least try this piece of interesting software at only $49.
