The Schwinn 240 has 17 workout programs, including 8 course profiles, target heart rate, 2 user profiles with custom workouts. The newer 240 also includes Schwinn Advantage workout tracking, an easy way to set fitness goals and measure your progress right on the console. It also includes telemetry heart rate monitoring for fitness tracking as well. Plus the weight of the bikes is slightly difference with the 240 weighing in at 117 pounds compared to 103 for the model 230.
Schwinn recumbent bikes get high marks for comfort and quality. Pick the computer power that's right for you and the price you want to pay. Other bikes worth a look are the 220 as well as the different and lighter series the Schwinn Active 20. Since there are lots of owners it's quite easy to access plenty of owner reviews. The 230 and 240 are the more expensive Schwinn bikes but are still very moderate in price compared to the competition. They offer a balance of features and price that's very competitive.
