One of the questions that I get asked most often is, how do you keep your 12 x 12 paper organized. The first step is to start dividing all your paper. Start by arranging into piles of colors, patterns, and prints. Once you have grouped all your paper, go through each pile and see if you have any paper that you will never use. Once you have sorted in the best way that makes senses to you, it's time to decide on the way you want to organize your papers.
Wall Mount
If you have a dedicated scrapbooking room, and the budget, a wall-mounted system is awesome. It does however take up more space than other scrapbooking storage ideas, but it is an wonderful way to have a visual of all your supplies. The system also requires you to be a bit of a handyman to set up.
Tabletop Storage
If you do not have a devoted scrapbooking room, using 12 x 12 trays that are stackable is a very good option.
Vertical Paper Storage
By using 12 x 12 paper organizers you can store your scrapbooking paper vertically. This is a very low-cost way to get organized, and lets you to have a good visual of your paper supply. This is probably the most practical.
Filing Cabinets
A lot of companies now offer scrapbooking furniture specifically for keeping your supplies organized. Or it's possible that you have a filing cabinet around the house that you can use. This is not my favorite choice, as you're not able to quickly and visually see everything you have but it does the job.
You have a lot of options. Sometimes I just like to look around the house at different furniture pieces that I have and imagine how I can transform it into a scrapbooking organizer. A little creativity can take you a long way.
