Scrapbooking Storage - 7 Ideas That Will Make You More Efficient

Coming up with different scrapbooking storage ideas can be fun and exciting. There are so many different creative ways to organize your supplies. For fun and exciting ideas, one just needs to do a little searching on the Internet to become inspired.

Paper Storage

The one question I get asked the most is, how to organize paper. There are multiple ways to organize your scrapbooking paper. One of the easiest and least expensive ways is to use an accordion file. You can sort your paper by color or theme. This will make it easy to find just the right theme for your next project.

Pegboards

Using a pegboard is an ideal way to store many of the little things that are always hanging around in your workspace. This is also very inexpensive as well. You can purchase a pegboard at your local hardware store. Adding molding around the edges will make it look attractive. You can then paint it to match that the decor of your room. Customize your board with hooks, shelves, and baskets makes a great way of being able to easily see what you need at a moments notice.

Embellishments

Storing your embellishments is important just because they are so small and can make quite a mess if not organize properly. You can buy small clear containers at your local craft store and organize them easily on a small shelf, or displayed in a spice rack. Organizing your embellishments by color will make an attractive display.

Images

Storing your images in small boxes with dividers makes your pictures easy to find when you are ready to use them. This will also keep them from becoming damaged while they await their turn. You can create tabs for each topic making them easy to find.

Carts with Wheels

One of my favorite scrapbooking storage ideas is using a cart with several drawers on wheels. This allows me to move around the house, as I don't always like to work in the same room. On top of that, when I am finished, I can roll it away into the closet which makes for easy cleanup.

Rubber Stamps

I love rubber stamps and have a lot of them. Sometimes I like to stop and admire at each one. I finally decided one day, that since I adore them so much that I would find small shelves and display them on the wall. I have grouped my stamps into themes, making it easy for me to find what I need. And I absolutely love the way they look on display.

Spinning Creativity

For the tools I use most often, like scissors, glue sticks, pencils, paint brushes and so on, I use a lazy Susan. I keep it within reach, and whenever I need something, I take it for a spin. This is the easiest most assessable solution that I have come up with for the tools I use most often.

The idea when coming up with scrapbooking storage solutions, is to have a system that will keep the clutter away, and make for the most possible easy access to your supplies. Keeping your scrapbooking work area clean will allow your mind to be clear and more creative.
