See From Space The Earh For A Magnificent Satellite Sight Sensation

When you look at a a satellite image when looking at Google Earth or similar apps or websites you will know how spectacular they look. I always remember looking at my own home as viewed by a satellite in orbit. It was awesome. The screen started out looking at our amazing planet earth, next i typed in my zip or post code and the planet turned to our country. Then it looked closer and closer until we could view the roof of my house. you can even see the neighbours trampoline in the backyard, parks, restaurants, nature reserves etc. It was mind blowing.

Something amazing about viewing satellite images is that you can view real photographs from anywhere on earth, Big Ben, Mount Vesuvius, craters formed when dinosaurs roamed the earth, and anything else you can think of. You can then save and share that great satellite view with friends and family how about adding some more interesting information like your first house, or the local landmarks.

Another thing you can do after you have found your image is that you can move and revolve the satellite image showing a more 3D or birds eye perspective on the terrain. Some people have said to me if the images are in real time and if you run around outside your house will you see yourself? The answer is no, we would need a lot of satellites out in orbit if this could happen.

One possible problem that can happen, is your computer may not be powerful enough to run the software or show the 3D graphics. But if your computer is quick enough you have lots of options to research

Man Made Objects
Its easy to waste hours on Google Earth zooming in and out of all the worlds major manmade items. Doing this has turned into one of the most popular time killer for pc users nowadays. Viewing the Great Wall of China from the point of view of an orbiting satellite, as an example, can justify its size. Simply the fact you can see it from space and covers a good portion of the Earth.

Natural Sights
You can also enjoy browsing the World Wide Web for satellite images of earths natural views. There are plenty to see in the US alone. Yellowstone National Park, the huge gorge made by the Rio Grande, and the snow caps of California's Sierra Nevada are all marvelous sights, especially when shot from low flying survey planes, which offer better images and different sights.

Google Street View
But perhaps the most popular aspect of online digital mapping technology today is the ability to see a street-side view of most major cities on Earth. I'm talking of Google Maps street view feature, of course, this allows you to go to virtually any city in the map and have a virtual visit around it. The images used for street view mode have been taken from thousands of van-mounted cameras throughout the world that take pictures every day to keep the streetview option as up to date as feasible. If you spend enough time searching, you can find some pretty entertaining scenes. Everything from a car wreck to a man who obviously drank a little too much the night before.

You will get so much fun seeing the earths sights from Yahoo, Google and Bing even though Google in all probability has the most extensive selection of real-world images and the smoothest reaction time for your sightseeing needs. What are you waiting for, get looking down on the world today.
