It’s really hectic around here with so much to do and halloween just around the corner. My family probably should have started planning months ago for all the decorating they want to do. My husband has been online ordering all kinds of decorations and eerie props for the house and yard. He is buying a creeping hand and a ton of other decoration ideas he found. He’s even thinking about ordering a new costume for himself this year. His costume last year was a werewolf. I’m not sure about this years costume. But he is just as excited as a child at halloween. Our son is the same way when it comes to halloween. He’s ready to go out there and get all the candy he can.
They spent so much time planning the decorations and their costumes. They are both into pirate movies of all kinds, especially “Pirates of the Caribbean.” So, it’s a safe bet that they are both planning on ordering a cutthroat pirate costume. I already caught our son looking at the pirate costume ideas available. So I won’t be surprised to see a men’s pirate costume and a pirate boy costume coming in the mail soon. I was expecting them to suggest that I find a woman pirate costume for me. They were also talking amongst themselves about a bloody pirate chest and a skull with a sword shoved through it. I’d say piracy was definitely in the air. Even Scooby Doo could sniff out those clues.
Then they came to me to suggest we might try going with an authentic pirate costume scenario this year. Well, blow me down! So, now they could openly search out the perfect caribbean pirate costume for each of them. They each found a costume they considered like the pirates of the Caribbean and one that was a ghost. I doubt if they had a clue as to which ones they wanted to be. They had a different idea with every pirate ship costume they ran across. I knew from the way they were talking that I might as well start checking out the lady pirate costumes right away. Why fight a losing battle?
There were some pretty cool womens pirate costumes to check out. One was a sassy pirate costume and the other was a pirate queen costume. Mutiny has crossed my mind with this family, more than once. I think I should dress appropriately for taking over the ship. They had a lot of pirate costume accessories to go with just about any pirates costume you chose. They had the pirate costume hats and even a set of pirate teeth. You should see the pirate boots and swords they have available. The more I look at these online accessories, the more excited I’m getting about wearing the ladies pirate costume.
The guys want to get everyone into the act. They are choosing a costume for our bulldog too. It probably wouldn’t hurt for my husband to speak to a professional. But I got to admit, there are a lot of nice costumes for pets on this site. He does make a cute pirate in his costume. There was a pirate hat and hook with the costume. The eye patch our son made for the dog really added to his pirate costume. My son chose the rogue pirate costume and my husband the pirate captain costume. Now we were all set for Halloween night. They have already started putting up the decorations. They did put their best foot forward this year on decorations. They have done a super job. There was only one difference of opinion this Halloween. Even though my husband feels he’s qualified to be the captain, our son feels he should be the leader. But they both know who the real captain of this ship is.
