Watch is a thing which is worn by a person in the wrist with straps or bracelets. There are modern type of watches, which displays the date month and time. There are many watches which have different functions. There are watches which are not expensive they are only for time keeping there will not be any other function. Watches which are expensive have many options they are valued more for workmanship. Mechanism is very important in watch if mechanism is not perfect time will not be shown properly. There are watches which are meant only for timekeeping due to their electronic movements because of their mechanical hands which shows the time.

Mechanical watch is not accurate compared to electronic watches. They vary in many designs according to the trend. They are very expensive. It is worn according to the style of the person or as jewellery. Mechanical watches are used only as style rather than time keeping. Electronic watch have only few or no moving parts. They have a high stable frequency, and time keeping is also accurate. These are also known as quartz watches. Most watches are primarily electronic but they are geared to be mechanical.

Recently the watches have analogue form they have numbered dial, which have a rotating hour hand and long rotating minute hand. Analogue watches are sold as jewellery there are different styles, collections. Analogue displays are very popular. Many people prefer to buy analogue watches rather than electronic watches. Electronic watches give more clarity, accurate reading of time in all conditions. Such as clear digits, large face etc. Digital watch shows only the number instead of pointing towards the number. Batteries are very tiny parts in watch they provide tiny amount of power for a long period of time. There are cheap batteries, which contains alkaline which can cause damage to the watch. There are varieties of less expensive watches exclusively for women.

There are watches which show only the time but does not have any other features. There are various designs in women watch. There are dual time watch which is designed for travellers. Computerized watches are mostly wristwatches which give only short life for the battery. There are watches which are water resistant. Water resistant watches have mechanical seal which fills the space between the two surfaces. Water resistant are mostly used for swimming, diving. There are self winding watches which they can be wound manually they keep on running if not worn by the wearer. Water resistant watch are used for washing hands which is suitable for shower and swimming. Ladies watch are integral fro grooming. They are designed to suit distinct taste.
