Selling Your Book In A Bookstore

Nowadays people get books more often from the net. Purchasing books offline is an outdated trend. Book store sales are very low while internet booksales are rising. Nonetheless there are always people who love to check books or just check a book store from time to time.

Selling books can be very difficult. And, unless you made a deal with a major publisher, chances are yoour book won't ever get listed on a major bookstore.

Since you are new you should ask independent book sellers to sell your book for you. Make a list with all local book stores from your area and go pay a visit to each of them and ask for your book to be listed for sale. A couple of bookstores might ask for a marketing plan, or even details on how you are promoting your book, and other things. But most local bookstores don't do it. Try to make a good first impression and remember that the initial contact is very important.

Sell them from 2 to 8 books at a good price to each interested bookstore. A low price is important as bookstores always add their own profit and if they sell your book, a bookstore will always contact you asking for more books.

Selling books, and developing a marketing plan will help you reach the next step.
