Setting Up A Shoutcast Using Ssh
Ok, load up your ssh client, for example PuTTY. Then go into the folder you want to use for your shoutcasts and run this command wget http://www.shoutcast.com/downloads/sc1-9-2/shoutcast-1-9-2-linux-glibc6.tar.gz Then use this tar -zxvf shoutcast-1-9-2-linux-glibc6.tar.gz Then rm -rf shoutcast-1-9-2-linux-glibc6.tar.gz Then mv shoutcast-1-9-2-linux-glibc6 shoutcast(Port) Adding the port to the end of that is optional, it will move the files to a folder called shoutcast, then if you decide to put port on the end, it will keep the server more organised. Now cd shoutcast(port) Then nano sc_serv.conf And edit all the fields, detailed instructions are avaliable in the file. Save the file, and then type ./sc_serv sc_serv.conf To start your server. You can then check http://(IP):(PORT) for your server. Thank you for reading.
