Eb-5 Overview

In 1990 The United States introduced the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program which allocates 10,000 visas annually for immigrant investors who invest $1 million dollars towards the creation of a new business and create 10 new full-time jobs within two years.

The qualifications for the EB-5 program are minimal- there are no requirements as to business experience, language abilities, or education. The only requirement is that the $1 million dollar investment must be at risk.

Benefits of the EB-5 Program include:

No minimum requirement as to age, language ability, work experience or education
Approval usually comes within 3-6 months (*Depends on Embassy)
Qualified Investors and their spouse, and dependent children (under the age of 21) will be initially granted conditional lawful Permanent Residency (ie: Green Card)
The Eb-5 Program does not require the Investor to manage the business on a day to day basis. Investors and their families can live anywhere in the United States, work anywhere, go to school, or enjoy retirement.
