Success, it’s much more that just making money, it’s also and foremost being happy and enjoying a great relationship with the person you love. Money is just a tool that facilitate these feelings.
If Money is not everything, rest assure that Success is!
One can’t truly be happy and satisfied until he or she fulfills his/her true dreams. Why do I say “true” dreams? Simple, most of the people seek to fulfill dreams, often the ones people expect them to fulfill, or the one they have been told or conditioned to dream of.
How many times in your life have you expressed a dream, or even now, thinking of something and then thought back “That’s silly, I can’t afford that, I should be happy and satisfied with what I have, or stick to what I can afford.”
I know that very well, and if you remember my story of yesterday, I have been conditioned like that during my youth… until I heard a sentence from one of my mentors that litteraly transform and blow away my paradigm.
He said:
“Do not lower your dreams to meet your income, increase your income to meet your dreams!”
It was (and still is) so profound! I closed my eyes repeated this sentence in my mind. This was an awakening like a cold shower, it just was making so much sense! Absorbing each and every word of this sentence, making it mine, I let it flow in my mind for seconds (that felt like hours) and as I opened my eyes again, I was a new man.
And then it happened.
I just destroyed a mental barrier of my mind; and as I did that, long forgotten dreams came back slapping right in front my face, and with a big smile, I said outloud still smiling: “I can do it.”
Find your true dreams, your true desire, the one that makes you so hungry, this reason, this “why” is the only reason that you’ll keep doing what you are doing when the time will get hard.
Jim Rohn said:
“If the why is stong enough, then the how doesn’t matter.”
“If by next week, you can give me a box of 100 pennies, I’ll give you a check of $50,000. Now, we should schedule our next workshop on how to find 100 pennies…”
He then added:
“I bet you’d all answer saying: “Forget the Workshop! Just make sure the check is good!”, you see, if the ‘why’ is strong enough the ‘how’ doesn’t matter, we’ll always find a way.
