Short History Of Espresso
Espresso machine became more famous when Desidero Pavoni bought the rights from Luigi Bezzera in 1905. People made a great change in their coffee drinking habits: making more and more cups daily to satisfy their taste buds. Pavoni became successful in promoting the product, making it more popular to the consumers. And now, you can see the results as you visit different places: espresso and coffee shops are almost there in every corner. Coffee drinking is also equally the same as socializing in the U.S.: people gathering and exchanging thoughts over a cup of great coffee. A pump driven piston espresso machine was then introduced by Gaggia after the war in 1948 which provides precise pressure for grinding. A spring lever made it possible to create more pressure thus producing creama which is a golden brown foam on top of espresso. Gaggia’s work was further enhanced by M. Faema in 1961, creating an electric pump machine that pushes water through the coffee. This is the origin of contemporary espresso machines that are we are using today.
