Should You Get An Hp Envy 17 To Replace Your Stationary Pc?

The Hp Envy 17 may be pound for pound the best bang for your buck as far as laptops are concerned. They certainly are not flawless, and nothing in this world is, but when you consider {processing speed|the fast processor, good battery charge, graphics and price tag it would be tough to beat this one.

Battery Life- With any mobile device its important to know how long the battery battery charge lasts. The Hp envy 17 battery will run for 7 hours without a power source. You can extend the battery charge to 14 hours with a slim fit battery attachment if you decide to go that route.

Processing Speed- The envy 17 operates relatively fast with the Intel core i5 processing speed. You also have the option to upgrade to the core i7 for even faster performance speed, but for the average user you will be fine with the i5. If you’re an avid gamer or use a lot of high end graphics applications you may want to look into the i7.

Display- The graphics are really vibrant and crisp, particularly for a laptop. The hp 17 has 1,600 x 900 pixels for a brilliant high resolution display that works great with HD and the optional Blu Ray drive that is also included.

Where Could the Envy 17 use Improvement?- The Envy 17 has lots of convenient features and frills, but it is certainly not perfect. Weighing in at almost 8 pounds makes this hp a bad candidate for carrying around. It certainly is portable, but not quite as light as a netbook or something similar.

There have also been some customer complaints about the wrist pad getting heated up more than usual. This is subjective and may not bother you at all, but it is worth mentioning.

These laptops were specifically designed to be as functional as any home pc. That’s why it may be a little heavier than other similar laptops and perhaps even gets warmer.

The Hp Envy 17 is a well designed laptop that performs really well as far as graphics, processing speed and all around usability is concerned. If you need a light and therefore ultra portable laptop you may want to look elsewhere, but if you want a quality laptop that will not become obsolete in the near future the envy 17 is definitely worth the investment.
