Simple Astral Projection Steps
Astral travel is a means by which to access other realms or other planes of existence through our minds. Once we achieve a state of enlightenment and utter calm, it is possible, via an out of body experience, to view the world around us in a completely different way. We are all made up of a physical being, and a spiritual being. We exist as both at the same time, and their physical being keeps us rooted in reality, but our spiritual being also has the ability to travel and to use our minds to explore ourselves and our abilities. We are a great deal more than the sum of our parts. Astral travel, whether or not you believe it is limited to your own consciousness, or a greater over all reality, will help us explore the metaphysical portion of our existence. So here are some simple steps to help you get started: 1. The first step is to decide that you want to do it. If you are approaching the subject from a point of skepticism, you may find it more difficult to achieve astral projection. However, if you feel this is something that you want to do, and you've decided that you're going to accomplish it, then it will come to you much more easily. So find a nice quiet spot, and calm yourself to a point were you feel as though you're in touch with your inner self. 2. Once you have found a sense of calm, then the next step is to allow yourself to completely and utterly relax. It often helps to approach this in the same manner that you may approach sleep. But try not to let yourself go to sleep. While they say that we often astral travel during sleep, it's not the directed or controlled type of travel that we are trying to achieve here. 3. Once you have found yourself in a relaxed state, then begin to meditate on something that brings you an even deeper peace. Try and think of something simple, such as a pretty flower, or light breeze across the prairie. Something that is calming to you but not too exciting. 4. Once you have achieved a state of meditation, then try to imagine that part of your body or all of your body is floating above were ever it is that you are sitting or laying. Just try to imagine that you can look down yourself, or look around the room, but know that you're separated from your physical being. Now, you may not actually achieve this at the beginning. But once again, envisioning it will help you get to that step. Practice doing this and coming in and out of the state a few different times. Once again, bear in mind that it may take a lot of time to get to this stage. Actually separating from your physical body, or mundane shell as some call it, is the pinnacle of astral projection. In fact it is astral projection. Some people also use yoga to achieve the state of mind that they want in order to begin to astral project. Others use a meditative chant, still others sounds of a running waterfall or spa music. You must find whatever works for you, and then simply practice practice practice. Like all things, if you're committed to it and dedicate the time to it you will be able to achieve it. And like all things in life, it comes more easily for some than others. Don't give up!
