Simple But Effective Tips For List Building
1. Subscription Box Provide a subscription box on every web page available if possible. If you only have a subscription box on the home page then you are losing potential subscribers who came in from your other pages. Also try to ensure your subscription box is located at the top or at a visible location on your site. 2. Incentives Offering an incentive to join your mailing list is another good way to build your list. You can offer an e-book or software download to entice your subscribers. But take note this method of list building also attracts a number of freebie seekers; therefore your list may not contain a high number of genuine readers. 3. Relevant Content Ensure that your content is relevant as this encourages your subscribers to stay and if they like what they read they might even recommend your newsletter or e-zine to their family and friends. This will help you build your list automatically. Relevant content equals satisfied long term subscribers. 4. Sales Letter Write a sales letter as if you are going to sell something but at the bottom of it is only a subscription box to your mailing list. Bring up the benefits of your newsletter and present it as if it were a product to sell. You will be actually selling something, which is your newsletter at no cost. 5. Use Pop-Ups Many may not favor this method but it does bring results. Try to keep the size of the pop-up window small and not too flashy. As long as it is a pop-up visitors will notice it anyway. Make sure that your pop-up will be able to close with a simple mouse click. 6. Viral E-Books Distribute your viral e-book to the masses. Encourage recipients to pass on the e-book for free and state clearly in the e-book that it comes with giveaway rights. Make sure you include a link to your subscription box in the viral e-book or else you will lose the benefit of viral e-book marketing. 7. Article Banks Write free articles and submit them to article banks or article directories. At the bottom of each article there is a resource box for the author or contributor. Include a little bio about yourself or your website and most importantly include a link that points to your subscription box. 8. Name Squeeze Pages This type of pages are specifically built to capture your visitors name and e-mail address. They are basically only simple pages with a subscription box and an offer or freebie available normally in the form of an e-book or downloadable software. This method is one of the popular choices because it is easy to implement. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com This article is written by Dave Das at www.my-affiliatemarketing.com.
