You will need a credit card to open the account and there may be a nominal setup fee. You cannot really go any further without an Adwords account, so don’t let the cost throw you.

Once again, when your account is confirmed, do some reading to get to know the service. In brief this is how it works. You place an ad for the product you are selling and select the keywords that would attract customers to your ad. You would bid on the keywords your have chosen and it stands to reason that the more popular the keyword, the higher the bid.

The next step is to find a product. This you will do in the market place in your ClickBank account. For starters, stay in an area in which you have some knowledge and do a search for a product on that subject. Make a list of 5 to 10 products that pay a commission of $20.00 or more.

Once this is done, you need to do some research to find out if the product may be profitable. To do this you will use the Google Adwords keyword Tool. Enter the exact title of the chosen product and do a keyword search for all the keywords related to you product.

Now have a look at how many searches there are for that product. Remember that the results given by Google are monthly. You want a minimum of 1000 searches per month. Then you look at the competition. The higher the competition the higher the minimum bid amount is to get on page one. Also, have a look at the estimated required bid.

As an example, let's say someone wants to find out how to prune roses. To do this they would enter the keyword "how to prune roses." Now if this is the keyword phrase you are using for your product. The chances are very good that they will click on your ad to find out more. Now let's say that from 100 clicks you make one sale. This would mean that on a minimum bid of .10c, you would make 100% profit on just one sale. More then one sale would be clear profit.

This may not sound like you will not be making a lot of money. But, repeat the same procedure with 20 to 30 products giving a profit of $200.00 each per month. See how it ads up.?

Enough said. From the keyword list as explained above. You need to find 5 or 6 keywords that describe the product you are selling. Ad these to your keyword list. Remember. The title of the product is the main keyword. You also do not need 1000's of keywords. A select few with low minimum bids will fit the bill perfectly.

Once this is all done. You can now write the ad. If your product is "How to cook Beef". That would be the title of the ad. For the body of the ad. You could have a look at some of the ads that come up with your search term. Select the best one, but change it a bit to make it yours.

Job done. Run the ad. A word of warning though. In the world of Google Adwords. If you do not carefully monitor your expenses against profits. It could become a very expensive exercise. What you also need to know is which of your keywords are making you money and which are not. If this is done properly. Then starting a internet business could be a very pleasant experience.
