Simple Ingredients Of A Novel
Of course, every novel needs a main character. And this character must be extremely real. Real enough to know exactly what they would do in various different situations. Even if you aren't going to describe these kinds of things in your book, you must know them about your character. Even when writing about how your character walks down the street, by making them real to you, they will become real and believable to your readers. Next is the story line. It can't just be a bunch of random events, it has to follow some logical flow. Each scene must logically follow from the previous. It should start with some kind of hook to draw the reader into he world of your character. Then it should include some kind of problem that your character must overcome. Next is the climax, where your character must face the problem head on. After that comes the resolution, when everything is settled and everybody moves on. And similar to the development of events in the story, the character as well must develop. The facing of the climax should be the turning point of their entire lives. When they discover something new about themselves, or face something they've never been able to face before. They must be transformed, and become better than they were when they started. And it goes without saying that your novel should be interesting. It should contain a likeable character, or at least one that people are interested in reading about. The story should contain enough conflict and resolution sprinkled throughout to keep people interested. The topic should be one that most people would enjoy thinking about during the time it will take to read your novel. This is the main structure of most popular novels today. Whether you are writing a children's story or steamy adult romance, when you contain the aforementioned structure elements, your novel will be much more interesting, much more widely read, and you will be much more successful. All you need to do now is to get started. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com To find the best self publishing companies, head on over to www.selfpublishingcompanies.org right away. |
