With the latest mobile phones that has a camera function; most of us don’t have to own a digital camera in order to snap a photo. These days, mobile phone cameras are one of the alternatives besides using digital cameras due to ease of use and practicality. Now everyone has the equal opportunity to take photos as much as they like. Here are some photo tips to help you snap great photos using the mobile phone built-in camera.

Keep your hands steady whenever you are snapping a picture. This is the most important tip as shaky hands can easily ruin any great scene. A mobile phone’s built in camera has sensors that require more light and this contributes to a longer shutter speed. So the time that it takes for the camera to capture a photo from the moment the shutter button is clicked is pretty much longer. Try to keep your hands as steady as possible.

Try to take pictures under great amount of lighting. Most camera phones use noise-reduction algorithms in the camera’s built-in post-processing software. A picture may look good enough on the phone with the small screen, but once you get it transferred to the computer for viewing, you will be able to notice loss of detail even after resolution is lowered. A noise-free photo does not really mean it is going to be good. The only way you can reduce this problem is to take pictures when it is bright enough.

Use the camera’s macro mode to take artistic pictures. Play with the focus button. Try focusing on different aspects of the scene by performing the auto-focus lock or half press the camera shutter button on your subject. Then you can shift the focus slightly away from the subject. You will be surprised at how superb macro-shot images can be by just using your phone camera.
