The simplest way to start making money online would be to use all the social media networks such as facebook, youtube, twitter, squidoo, Hubpages...the list goes on but you see what I’m getting at. Using these along with affiliate marketing can be incredibly powerful when done right, especially since alot of it can go viral overnight and start driving tons of traffic rather quickly.

Now before you get to excited, the secret to success here is imagination. Still sound simple? Imagination, just like any other skill is something you have to develop, while intangible, personal and internal. If you want to be successful with making money online with these free and simple methods you have to really use your imagination to be a step above the rest. Why? , well because thats how you get recognised and established. You have to create a personality, an online presence.

This is where the work comes in and people begin to fail or give up. Just like any business you have to start the ball rolling before it takes on a life of its own and this is the hardest part. Alot of people are under the illusion that due to the very “rapid” nature of the internet in satisfying everybody’s needs now, money comes in the same way.

Initially you will have to invest alot of your own time into it before you see any noteworthy results, however it is possible to see the results in a span of 3 months or so as long as your committed to your cause and are consistently, religiously adding to your content and keeping people updated, with what you’re doing.

This “time” investment people really seem to struggle to keep with or understand. I think this is mostly down to the way people have been mislead on the web with alot of sales letters being like you only have to work a few hours a day to see X amount results in x amount of time.

Sure that may be possible but you’re going to have to put a hell of a lot of work into those few hours a day!.

That said, that is how you start and if you stick to your guns and persevere you will succeed eventually, inevitably. But you can never get something for nothing, and to start with that something is your time. You need to use it well, treat it as if it’s money your investing, because ultimately thats what you’re going to get back, even if you’re not seeing it now.
