Since water skiing is a popular leisure activity/sport, it would not be hard to look for new or used ski boats for sale. But of course, before looking for one to buy, you should contemplate first on which type fits your lifestyle and needs. There are two types of ski boats: the direct drive and vDrive. Generally speaking, if you water ski, direct drive is for you, if you wakeboard, go for vDrive. The direct drive variant is the traditional ski boat configuration and so, it is the most advisable for you if you are looking for a ski boat that can “accommodate” other water activities like fishing.

There are a lot of options in purchasing a ski boat. The first is, obviously, by contacting boat dealers. The advantage of going for this option is that you will be exposed to a large inventory of ski boats and you can even test them. If a certain ski boat caught your interest, ask permission to the dealer to test-drive it. Do not be afraid to ask the dealer with this. You're the one making the purchase anyway.

Another option is checking the national papers' classified ads. If this did not work for you, you can go online. Auction sites feature both new and used ski boats for sale too as well as ski boat parts and accessories. One good site to check is eBay. The plus point in choosing eBay over other auction sites is you can easily refine your search to only those sellers that are within a favorable distance.
