The recruitment of John Whitehead (Sales Director) saw the company grow into other market sectors such as recycling and chemical. The core product of FIBC’s is growing rapidly with over 600,000 bags sold in 2011 alone to various industries including; Food, Chemical, Recycling, Construction, Agriculture and Refractory to name but a few.

Commenting on 2011, Smartlift Bulk Packaging Managing Director, Trevor Bland, said: “Over the past 6 and a half years, we have built a business from scratch with an enviable reputation. We were one of the first industrial packaging companies to offer an ecommerce website and our introduction of ‘Reflective’ FIBC’s in 2008 is continuing to improve Health and Safety in the market place. As we continue to grow we recognize the importance of developing our existing client base by offering more products and becoming a one stop shop. This is why we have added industrial buckets, cardboard & polythene to our range”.

Plans are in place for a new purpose built 6500 sq ft warehouse and distribution depot in Kings Lynn, Norfolk next to our existing site. By early 2013 this unit will be up and running allowing the business to compete at the next level.
