So Broke Yet So Blessed

We have all taken a mental trip to "OZ" maybe more than a few times in our lives. Do you find yourself looking for more of that something we already have such as, courage, inner strength, confidence, a brain or a heart? There is one thing that most people consider a main course for survival, money. It is a necessity for most material things. Having more than enough money offers the security and ability to do the things you want to do, whenever you want to.

But there are many people who do not have the pleasure of spending money without the fear of not having enough to support themselves or their families. While the ones' who do have enough money are trying to find ways to make more. Either way, it is a constant struggle.

How often do we take the time to realize that we have not been put on this earth to constantly worry or ponder over what amount of money we may not have, how much money we can not save or spend? We are not all financially deprived but have now become deprived of our will to survive without more than enough.

In the negative, money does not matter at all when we have to suffer the loss of a loved one or if we or a loved one are given a bad report from a medical doctor. In the positive, money does not matter at all when we are able to celebrate the birth of a new baby, an anniversary, birthday or your child's graduation from kindergarten through college. Those are the moments that really matter, not the money. Allow those moments when you can sit with a young child and read them a book, take a walk in the park, flash a bright smile or give a compliment to a stranger. Things that are free of charge.

Unfortunately there are people who have more money than they can spend and no one to share it with in their lifetime. On the other hand, some people have lots of love and admiration from others but have to settle for things that they may not want, due to their financial status. They accept it, learn how to make the best of a bad situation and believe that things will eventually work out. Do not stress yourself out and become discouraged as those are negative emotions that can break you down.

Are we really broke? For many people, maybe financially but not mentally and spiritually. It is a state of mind. There are so many reasons to keep striving for more; your desire for a wholesome lifestyle filled with love, respect and the opportunity to appreciate what natural gifts and God-given abilities we all have.

Enjoy the moment as if it was your last. To be so broke and yet so blessed is something that may be easier than you ever could imagine. Learn to accept the life you have been living as the blessing that God gave you from the beginning.

Regardless of how much money you have in your lifetime, appreciate the things that truly matter as there are no banks or ATM machines in Heaven.
