Softball Burn Out?

It’s become increasingly more accepted for Softball tournaments to be crammed into shorter time periods forcing players to play more games. And some of the girls are just flat out tired. The Indy Intensity of Indianapolis had played seven games in a 15 hour period in 90 degree weather. Now 7 games is not a average occurrence, these eighteen and under girls teams will normally play 4, 5, or 6 games during a travel tournament. But it’s just become accepted. This is their time to shine, when the college scouts come out and they need to perform to get a softball scholarship.

The game has changed also and become much more specialized. Pitchers pitch, catchers catch and pink runners, well they run of course. These tournaments are showcases and the players and families intend on taking home much more than trophies.
