If you think though that only different countries have different languages that you can not be more wrong. Let us say that you might be interested in stock index trading and you want start trading as well. You can not just flash your income and presume things to fall into place right away. To folks in the stock index trading world, a Bear is the term for an investor who always has a negative view of things and one that always believes that market prices are spiralling downwards. With the Bear comes the Bear market and the bear market is a kind of trading arena where prices are consistently falling into new lows.

As a balance to all that negativity, the stock index trading has an investor that they want to call the Bull. The Bull, in direct contrast to the Bear has a very positive attitude towards the market and always believes that the prices will rise. Since the Bears possess a market if their very own, it is simply fair the the Bulls have their very own Bull market as well. That is only fair right? This Bull market too works in the opposite way that tyhe Bear market does and is definitely trading on rising prices.

These are not always fixed characteristics of both markets but are general traits which you can use like a kind of yard stick. You just have to decide which market appeals to you the most and which market you will want to trade in. There are some advantages and disadvantages to these two markets that you will desire to conisder before you decide.
