Spice Up Your Cooking – For Free
Can’t Cook? If you can’t cook, or your cooking skills are very basic, there are ways you can learn to cook, or just improve your skills for free. Get a helpful friend or family member to teach you the basics, if you need to know them, or maybe ask them to help you out with a particular dish or recipe that you’ve always struggled to get right-they may even have some tricks of the trade that they could let you in on. Need Inspiration? Cookery programmes are more popular than they’ve ever been, and they are on TV most nights. The trick is to find a TV chef or a particular type of cooking that you can understand, such as the cuisine of a particular country that you’ve visited, and take notes while you watch the programme. Most libraries are quite up to date when it comes to home cooking, so if you want to try a recipe before you buy a cookbook, go to your library and see if they have a copy. Alternatively, you could go online, as many TV chefs have their own websites, and if they don’t there are many other cooking and recipe sites that may just carry their recipes, or very similar ones. These are a just a few tips for you, to get you started on the next stage of your culinary journey, remember that inspiration can strike at any time, such as when you’re on the bus on the way to work, or on holiday in Tenerife.
