St Tropez Beaches
The bunch of my friends had been to the Var department in the south of France and they said they had a time of their life. They had incessantly been talking about St Tropez and its sandy beaches. I am a German and live in Hamburg and my friends knew my craving for sunshine and water and sandy beaches. So I did a bit of net search and visited a site that gave me enough details on Saint Tropez. I called them and told them of my plan to visit St Tropez and wanted to know if they could help me in finding a place to stay and give me directions. I told them also of my interest in beaches. I was assured that they would help although they were primarily a real estate agency in St Tropez dealing in villa rentals and property, but that they would be happy to help me find a decent lodging and help me in any other way possible. So that did it. I made a quick plan and off I was, by train to Nice. From there I boarded a bus to St Tropez and planned my timings in a way that I could be in the villa in St Tropez where I was to lodge. While i was there i wanted to make inquires about property in St Tropez. They gave me a range of choices for properties in St Tropez. Next they gave directions for going around the town and that was helpfull. After a night’s nap i was off looking for the first of the beaches Plage des Graniers. The map I had guided me to St Tropez' Citadel. I spotted the sea and when I had crossed the cemetery there I was on a small but the most beautiful beach I had ever seen. The people were languishing around enjoying the sun and all one could expect on a good beach was there. The next day I had plans to go see the famous Pampelonne beach, on the Baie de Pampelonne, three miles south of St Tropez. I boarded a bus which ply regularly to various destinations. We followed D93 and in a few minutes we were there. It is a long sandy beach divided in sections according to the choices people have. There are parts for topless bathers and separate niche for the naturists. It is a beach to remember. All I had read or heard about the place is true. I definitely plan to visit this place with all imaginable facilities and amenities that one would want on a beach of choice. The next day I was at Plage De L'escalet, a rather narrow beach closer to where I was lodging, almost at the town’s end. Other then being narrow I found these equally pleasing. After that I took a quick look at Plage de la Bouillabaisse another beach in the vicinity of the town. From the beach I had a view of the properties on the beach side and wondered if I could, one day, own property in St Tropez. I thought to myself I should have planned a longer trip to St Tropez. I had to be back, I said to myself.
