Stacey Kent In Love Again Contemporary Blues Music Cd Review
In Love Again is the latest Contemporary Blues CD put out by the highly talented Stacey Kent who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I'm confident Stacey Kent fans, and Contemporary Blues fans alike will be pleased with this one.
This one literally grabs your attention right from the very first note with Shall We Dance? and won't let go until the very last note of the very last song Bali Ha'i, which by the way is another great track.
These days it's a very rare CD on which every single song is good or better than the one before it. This CD is certainly one of those rare CDs.
If you're a Stacey Kent fan this is a CD your collection flat cannot be without. In fact, this is one of those CDs that you don't even have to be a fan of Kent, or even Contemporary Blues to know is good. This is just good music. Period.
While this entire CD is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 2 - Bewitched, Bothered And Bewildered, track 5 - I Wish I Were In Love Again, and track 9 - I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair.
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 7 - It Might As Well Be Spring. What a nice track!
