Stages Of Baby Growth During Pregnancy - Knowing What To Expect Once Being Pregnant

Here you have all three stages of your baby growth during pregnancy so you know what you can expect once being pregnant.

First three months of baby growth during pregnancy:

- your baby grows very quickly;
- his heart begins to beat;
- his blood is circulating round his body;
- his arms and legs start to form;
- his face begins to develop its unique appearance;
- he starts to move.

Second three months of baby growth during pregnancy:

- now you start to feel your baby first stirring and then moving more vigorously inside you;
- your baby`s heart can be heard by the midwife with an ear trumpet through the wall of your tummy (or you if you ask to use a stethoscope);
- the two sections which form the hard palate inside your baby`s mouth join together;
- your baby`s fingernails start to grow;
- he is developing his own pattern of sleeping and waking and you are learning to recognize when he is active and when he is resting;
- he can hear and will "jump" if there is a sudden loud noise;
- his eyes are open.

The last three months of baby growth during pregnancy:

- your baby now starts to make breathing movements;
- his skin becomes smoother and less wrinkled and hairy;
- his nails and hair grow longer and his skull hardens;
- his body becomes rounder and plumper as he lays down fat ready for labour and the first few days of his life.
