Step5: Final Step To You And Your Family Working Together To Eliminate Stress
Now that you have made the commitment and enlisted your entire family to the task of making your home organized and peaceful, here is the last step.
Step 5 – Hold yourself accountable. You are the person that can keep everything on track and it is your job to hold yourself responsible for what is happening in your life. Will an unexpected event come up, absolutely. Will a child catch a cold and need to stay hold from school for a day, of course. Will you be able to determine when, where and how unexpected events will happen, of course Not! Do you ever wonder how families, back in the day, kept a household running smoothly with lots of children in the home? Families are still doing the same thing today, we just don’t hear about it as much because the average family size includes 2 children. It is a well-orchestrated household where everyone has responsibilities.
When you are on top of your household, organized and clutter-free, you will find that your day runs smoother, you will have more time on your hands and you will be happier too. And remember, this is a difficult job. There isn’t a training manual to refer to. Your personality and dedication plays a huge part of keeping your home organized as a stay-at-home mom.
Keep yourself accountable for what you need to accomplish on a daily basis. I would suggest keeping a diary. Or, think about your best girlfriend who you can partner with and hold each other accountable. The key to having a partner is that you enable each other to reach your goals…not allow each other to make excuses! Your clutter can rule your life unless you take hold of it now so take charge and move forward. I know that you can make a difference.
Until next time, remember…Don’t Agonize – Organize.
