Stomach Ulcers; Causes, Treatment And Natural Cures

If you have a stomach ulcer, it is important that you deal with the condition immediately. Even if you only suspect that you have one, you must consult expert medical advice without delay. Ignoring the issue could be disastrous as an untreated ulcer could lead to permanent and even life threatening damage to your health and well being.

You may also have a "breath test" which involves breathing into a tube to detect the presence of H Pylori bacteria. This is considered to be a major cause of ulcers. Another test is an endoscope which involves putting a tiny camera tube down the upper digestive tract to see if there is any visible damage. Don't worry, it isn't painful, as with a local anaesthetic you can undergo the test in reasonable comfort and be about your normal business within a few hours. After this, your doctor will prescribe antibiotics and acid suppressants as appropriate.
Now, assuming that you have your ulcer treatment in place, you should take it even if you dislike drug therapy. This will at least stabilise your condition and prevent it from worsening.

The next step is to find ways to deal with the ulcer that are easy to stick to and give lasting benefits.
Common sense steps are always a good place to start. Of course there will be many types of food that you will not be able to eat, that is perhaps just as well as it is the body's way of protecting itself. You must however, make sure that you eat a sensible selections of nutrients, even in the form of supplements, as these will help to restore your health over time.
Firstly, water. Not only does water flush your system of impurities, but it also dilutes the concentration of acid in the stomach to lessen the discomfort. You might not be able to face taking large glasses of water in one go, so keep a bottle of water with you throughout the day and take regular sips. Ideally, two litres is a reasonable amount for an average adult.

Bear in mind that tea, coffee, alcohol and soda drinks should not be regarded as part of your water quota because some of these drinks do not assimilate into your body system very well and coffee in particular can also be somewhat dehydrating. Better to have water instead of the drinks mentioned, but it should be okay to have them in reduced quantities.
Obviously, you need to eat properly. By that I mean sitting down with time to spare; don't gulp and don't get up and go immediately. Also, don't take on strenuous work right away, especially bending down. Simple mechanics really - you will risk forcing food and acid up your digestive tract which could well be already weakened.

This perhaps is easier said than done sometimes, but please consider that your long term health is at stake here. You can let your family and work colleagues know that a little extra time spent on yourself now is much better than long absences with ill health in the future.
The great news is that there are numerous ways to permanently eliminate a stomach ulcer which are safe, affordable and easy to obtain. Some remedies are old fashioned cures that have been forgotten about since the introduction of modern drug therapies, and some are newly discovered foods that have been proven to work on ulcers with maximum benefit and minimum discomfort.
As a ex ulcer patient myself, I have had good reason to seek and try these remedies which have worked fantastically well on myself and numerous other people who have tried them.
Not only that, but when you think of how much years worth of prescription charges and doctor's fees will set you back, isn't it worth looking for a better and cheaper way to become an ex ulcer patient yourself?

For example, a apple a day keeps the doctor at bay, but did you know that apples have compounds that can dramatically speed up the healing of ulcers? One a day, simple and natural, has been reported by numerous people to reduce the discomfort and provide long term relief.
