Stop And Read My Headline

What you see first in a sales page or website will most probably be the headline.

In fact, as you have experienced yourself, the headline that you read or have attracted your attention will determine if you could care to take a second look and makes you continue to read the whole text of the article.

With that it means your headline will make or break your chances that people will stay long enough in your site and make a decision either to opt-in or buy from you.

It is the few seconds is all it takes for people to take notice of you. Either they like what they saw or they just click and move on.

So just by changing and tweaking your headline a bit would certainly make a lot of difference in your conversion rate if your headline is not making much money for you right now. It can be as much as 50 percent increment overnight.

But actually, according to research, it is found that only two things that matters most that would changed your dull and over-stuff headline into a killer:

One is being "Concise" and two, "Simplicity".

How do you explain that?

First, you need to be as brief as possible. You do not have to say everything in your headline. You do not have to be cute and also use big words with hidden meanings where people would not understand you.

Second, you need not be too complex. You do not have to manipulate and embed all those keywords a couple of time in your headline.

You know every marketer would want to sell but your reader would know that you are a fake and is only trying to push through a sale.

Now just make them curious in your headline will do. Instead of ten words why not limit yourself to just three or four words?

Anyway, the only thing you want to do with your headline is to get to "Stop" them in their tracks and create curiosity like "Heh, what have I got here, sound interesting!"--this would motivate them enough to continue reading the whole body of your article.

Give them just enough to read in the headline to interest them and do not come on like a salesman in your headline.

Did I say you have to be brief?

In other words, you have to be specific in your headline. The higher is your targeted words, the more people will get your point resulting in getting fewer questions if people understood what you meant.

The next time you begin to write you copy, remember to shout out "Stop and read my headline".
