Stop Blushing With Hypnosis

If you suffer the embarrassing sensation of flaming cheeks every time you encounter the slightest provocation, then you would probably do almost anything to keep that from happening again. Excessive blushing can make you wish that you could disappear, especially when you know that everyone around can see your discomfort painted clearly across your face. If your cheeks turn red any time the focus is on you, then it might be time to do something about it.

The first thing that you should do is to begin a blushing journal. The purpose for this is to determine just which uncomfortable situations lead to redness in your cheeks. If you can handle one-on-one interaction without a red reaction, then your blushing may not be as severe as others. While it can still be annoying, the treatments might not be as severe as those needed for incessant blushing for no apparent reason.

Blushing can definitely affect your daily life. You might find that you cannot foster personal relationships because the anxiety leads you to shy away from social gatherings. Redness in the face might keep you from interviewing for that perfect job or keep you from meeting that special someone. When you take into account the many ways that excessive blushing can hinder your daily life, then you can see that it’s probably time that you do something about it.

After you have discovered the situations that bring out your flushed responses, then you can visit your doctor to discuss the possible solutions. Many times, meditation and exercise can be all you need to get your anxiety under control. If you need something a bit stronger, then your doctor may suggest therapy under hypnosis. This therapy is designed to reprogram your brain’s responses to certain stimuli, and the best way to accomplish this is to introduce the new behaviors to your subconscious.

Hypnotherapy is best when performed by a professional that has experience treating excessive blushing. You already know that the situation is delicate, so it is important that your practitioner understand the importance of the situation. By working with a hypnotherapist that understands your anxiety and reticence, you can ensure that you receive the best possible care.

If you cannot afford hypnotherapy, then you might be able to work with hypnotherapy CDs or MP3s. These recorded programs can help to retrain your brain as you sleep, and they have been proven to be quite effective. There is still a fairly hefty price on the most successful of these programs, but you will probably find that the price is worth it. Ending your excessive blushing forever probably has no price.

If you find that hypnosis still does not do the trick, then you don’t need to despair. There are more severe treatments that can include topical applications, oral medications, and even surgery. As with all medical treatments, you should keep in mind that there are possible side effects for any of the medications or procedures that you might choose. Inhibitors taken orally can keep the hormones that cause blushing from reaching their intended targets. Topical ointments and creams can constrict the blood vessels that lead to red cheeks. The surgery will completely sever the nerve that delivers blood to the cheeks in embarrassing or anxiety-causing situations.

Before you consider the more excessive cures, you should make sure that blushing is certainly something that you want to live without. Often, the side effects can be quite severe, ranging from depression and irritability for the oral medications to infection and increased sweating for the surgery. If the hypnosis doesn’t work, these are your options. You might decide that your blush is cute, which is what most people around you already think.
