Stop The Google Redirect Virus

Do you need to remove the google virus that redirects your web browser to
web pages that you didn't want to visit, every time you surf the web? This problem is very frustrating to have to deal with, but luckily you are not alone, and there is a solution.

My first bit of advice to you would be not to try and remove the redirect virus by yourself, because unlike many other common trojans, this one requires a little bit of knowledge, time and carefull tweaking.

In fact, you will have to do some manual work of removing key registry files that are causing the problem. The best solution would be to get help on a forum where other people are dealing with the symptoms of the google redirect virus, so that you may finally fix it.

However, here is a simple 8 step procedure that you can try that may safely remove the problems of the browser redirect before it gets any worse.

1. Locate your start menu where your programs are accessed from.

2. Find the program called Run and open it.

3. Type in the following command and then hit enter, devmgmt.msc.

4. Your computer's device manage feature will now open.

5. Locate the view tab and check Hidden Devices.

6. Look for TDSSserv.sys.

7. Right Click on top of it and choose "disable".

8. Now, using your choice of spyware removal tool, do a scan.

I would recommend using either SpyBot or Malwarebytes, and as an extra tip - run one and then the other just in case one of them missed something.
