Strength Training Will Prolong Your Youth
In other words, we shouldn't wait for our bodies to start protesting before we change our lifestyle. We need to change our habits sooner rather than later if we want to live a healthy long life. Although this is really easy to say it is much harder to do. We constantly hear about the benefits of exercise, yet many of us don't really make a commitment or make the time for exercise regularly for many various reasons. We get busy, we get lazy and we have other much more important things to do. We know that exercise is good for us and would make our life so much better, but it seems like too much trouble and too much work. Did you not read the latest memo? These are no longer valid excuses to avoid exercise. We need to embrace a can do attitude as it is all about what you should prioritize and what could be more important than your health? Exercise is a really good habit to cultivate. When you develop this good habit, you not only improve your health and fitness but you also develop a skill. That skill will help you to form other good habits. If you have trained yourself with the discipline to get up early and exercise a couple of mornings per week, you will find it easy for yourself to develop other good habits such as staying organized, choosing good foods, getting enough sleep, reading more books or watching less TV. You will find that when you exercise first thing in the morning you will have started the day off right and be so much further ahead than everybody else. You will be able to perform tasks with a greater intensity for the remainder of the day. You will feel really good as you know you are taking a proactive approach to protecting your health and towards disease prevention. You will also be giving your mind a chance to sort out life's busyness, figuring out solutions to problems and relieving stress. Switching over to a lifestyle that includes regular exercise does involve a decision, and a commitment to do so, you can't just wait until you feel like it. If you find that you are telling yourself that exercise is hard, you don't like it and that it is boring change the messages that you send to yourself. Tell yourself frequently that exercising your body is fun, it is so good for you and you will learn to enjoy it. The results are very definitely in, and have been for a long time as research has shown over and over again that people who participate in a proper exercise program that includes strength training exercise enjoy many health benefits. When we take action and restore muscle tone and strength, fatigue just melts away as our energy level increases. If you have taken any serious steps towards setting a list of priorities for your life you would have noticed that health at the top of your list. Not only can you live a longer life but you can live a longer youth and prolong your vitality indefinitely. That should be enough reason to get started right away if you are not already doing so.
