Stress Plus The Holidays Equals A Disaster, Are You Going To Let It Happen To You?

Family, food and fun is how the Holidays always start. The first thought at the front of my mind is all of the joy. It isn't until later that I remember the pain of preperations to be made and family members to be avoided.

The pain of too much to do with too high of expectation always leads to overbearing stress. And what comes of stress? High blood pressure, stomach problems and headaches. That's for me anyway. How do you respond? The good news is that I have 4 easy ways to make it through.

1. Don't procrastinate. The absolutely worst thing to do is to put off all of the inevitable chores that the holiday brings. In today's world you can plan in advace, whether it is shopping online or preparing your meal in advance. That will leave more time for you to do the things you really want to do.

2. Do Follow The Crowd. Just because every other person on earth waits until two days before the holiday to travel, doesn't mean you should. Adtually, do the opposite! {} Maybe the morning is better or the evening, just not with the crowd. And bonus number two to missing the crowd, ususally you get better service and pay less. So, no lines and more money. That is the recipe for less stress, don't you agree?

3. Just get ready for some things not to work out... it's the way life works. Life is still going to happen during the holidays, whether it's wheather, family or some thing else. Perfect is the one thing that will not. Be okay with that.

4. Be Yourself. Let you style shine forth. You are who you are whether your family like it or not. Your kids will make mistakes with their grandparents.. it's okay.

The Stress of the holiday season won't ruin your life if you keep these 4 simple rules in mind when you are heading into your holiday adventures.
