Stress Relief Methods That Really Work

Stress relief methods are some of the more popular searches on the internet these days. This exercise just goes to show that many people are feeling stressed lately and wish to find tried and true stress relief methods which are easy to do and above all, natural and free.

Breathing And Visualization

These two stress relief methods can be easily combined to give any individual a break from a particularly stressful moment or atmosphere. The key is to actually start deep breathing when the feeling of anxiety and stress come. The deep breaths should not be more than six consecutive breaths because one can get dizzy with too much deep breathing. This stress relief method helps a person calm down and focus on things on hand instead of getting all flustered and nervous.

Visualization helps to make breathing a more effective stress relief method by actually adding to the calmness of the individual. Stressed out people are encouraged to visualize any of the positive images or endings which they want to have or which may calm them down. As stress relief methods, breathing and visualization helps to take the bite out of stress and anxiety by distracting the individual from what is stressing him or her out.

Burn Up The Excess Energy

When one feels stressed or anxious, one usually has a lot of nervous energy which adds to the feeling of anxiety. It may be best to burn up whatever excess energy is there that is keeping one on edge or awake. This stress relief method usually works for people who have been feeling stressed the whole day and have lots of excess energy to channel to a work out or some other activity which may use up the energy. There are many different stress relief methods which focus on using up the excess energy that is built up in the body due to tension and anxiety. Cardiovascular exercises, boxing, running or jogging, sports and other physical games are great stress relief methods that can actually help to get rid of any excess energy that might keep one awake and worried.

Taking A Break From It All

A break may entail a few minutes respite from the stress or a few days vacation from the entire hullabaloo that keeps one on edge. This stress relief method works so well that many people are loathe going back to the grind and giving up the stress free environment.
