Strip Clubs: Rules To Remember
Tipping: A strip club is a service-based business, and as such, everyone who works within the establishment, including the DJ, bouncers and dancers make the majority of their living off of patron tipping. In some cases, dancers will be subject to a fee to perform at the establishment, which can sometimes take an hour to recoup on a slower evening. Even if you're not interested in dances, be sure to throw out a few bucks to the stage here and there, tip for drinks, and provide the dancers with gratuity. The industry is all about money. If you purchase a couple of cheap drinks and keep your wallet closed for the rest of the evening, don't expect the royal treatment next time you come in. If you're interested in becoming a regular, be sure to tip well, tip everyone and tip frequently. Dress: When it comes down to it, strippers are doing a service, which sometimes can be rather difficult. One thing that can make a dancer's job more difficult is if you choose to arrive at the club smelling like a gym with a steak sauce stained shirt and foul breath. If you're planning on making an appearance at one of these clubs, try your best to dress well. Everyone in the club will appreciate it, and with the extra attention you receive, so will you. Touching: If you didn't know already, there is no touching at strip clubs. This is no mere suggestion: it's actually the law. If you try and push it, the bouncers will be annoyed, the dancers will stray, and you might even be banned from the establishment. Keep in mind that you are purchasing a dance, not a grope. If you see another patron taking extra liberties, this does not give you permission to do the same. Keep an eye on them and watch them get booted. Dating Dancers: Guys just can't seem to grasp the fact that they are paying for the attention they receive. Though there certainly have been instances in which a patron has obtained the hand of a dancer, it's not so common. Most clubs frown on the idea due to the conflict of interest. Repeat customers are a stripper's bread and butter. Before you go buying her fancy jewelry or choosing your children's names, let her decide if the relationship should go to the next level. If the dancer is actually interested, she will make it known without throwing a price tag on top of it. Disrespect: Throwing insults, shouting out flaws and chucking coins will never land you a girl in the real world. Why would there be any difference at strip clubs? Just because you are paying for their time, does not mean you've obtained the right to treat them poorly.
