Submit Quality Articles Online - What's The Secret?

Submit quality articles online - isn't that what all of us article writers want to achieve? So what is the secret of a good article that gets a lot of readers? No secret really, just learning the simple skills to create an article that will bring traffic to your site. Read this article to get the easy basics of article writing.

The Internet is composed of content! And when you publish an article you are adding to that content. So you want to be certain it provides real value to people, people just like you. Consider - why do people sit down at their computer and start a search? They are looking for information.

Often what they are searching for is critical to solving an immediate problem they might suddenly experience. Finding answers, or seeking help, is driving them to do this search.

That is what you want your article to address. You want to help someone solve a problem, find an answer, alleviate suffering or worry. You want your article to be a path to their solution.

First, you have to know the steps in writing a feature article. I am assuming you have your researched keywords already, as that is a separate task, but I will show you how to use them efficiently.

You need about 5 relevant keyword phrases per article. Do not "keyword stuff!" The search engines will penalize your article for this by ignoring it. 20% keyword Density - explained below

1) Choose your title from your keywords. You must use the keywords as the first words in your title, and then you can add more, but keep the language natural.

2) Use your title keywords as the opening words of the first sentence in your article, in bold. Again, use natural language.

3) Use the main title keywords every one hundred words approximately, and always in the last sentence. A 10% density.

4) Use your secondary keywords throughout your article, usually one for around one hundred words. An additional 10% density.

5) Highlight your keywords with bold, italics, and underlining.

6) To submit quality articles online, you need to write an absolute minimum of 400 words. Few article directories will accept articles with fewer words.

7) Never use too many keywords, otherwise you will be charged with cramming and lose your status.

Now, how about the content? What are the best content writing secrets?

1) The most important point of your article is that you want to provide the information that your reader is looking for. Tempt them with enough information so that they then want to go on and look at your website or product. Think of your article as a "cliff hanger."

2) Send them to your website and product using a signature box you will add when you submit your article to an article directory.

3) Always use good grammar, correct punctuation and proper spelling. Wikipedia is an excellent source for punctuation rules.

4) Make your article interesting. Would you enjoy reading it? Would you want to know more?

5) Write your article as if you are writing it especially for your reader. Imagine your reader has asked you for helpful information and they are sitting across the table from you, sharing coffee. Many articles are written so generally that the reader cannot feel that you understand their problem. For example, I read an article about pregnancy and the writer referred to people. We all know people do not get pregnant, only women!

6) Spend some time doing research of your subject to be sure you submit quality articles on line. It's not as hard as it sounds. You can do a good job of research in just 20 minutes or less. Research through Google, Wikipedia, and authoritative sites providing free information, like Webmd and About. Another excellent source is any county extension agency. Look them up online!

7) Don't forget you are writing for a human being, not a machine.

8) Make sure you use relevant keywords for article topic. There is no point in using keywords you like, but they don't work with your article. Remember, people are typing in keywords to find the information in your article, so they must be relevant.

9) Keyword research is a whole separate topic in itself which will be covered elsewhere. For now just know that keywords are your key to getting readers.

Style guidelines for writing web content.

1) Have a main topic, and 3 subpoints, all supporting your main topic.

2) Make a list of useful information on your subject.

3) Tell them in the opening paragraph the benefits they will get from reading your article - "This article will explain...." or "Read this article to discover how to...."

4) You can write your article as questions and answers for your reader.

5) Describe a scenario and then give them the answers they need to solve their problem.

6) Make your article rich in information and try not to keep repeating yourself.

7) Match your use of words to your type of readers if possible. For example, if it's a sensitive subject, then write in a gentle way.

8) For formatting, use bulleted or numbered lists, short paragraphs and lots of white space. Notice how this article is formatted. Crowded text will cause your reader to give up.

I hope you have gleaned some useful information on writing good articles. Now go ahead and get started to submit quality articles on line of your own, and Good Luck!
