Make no mistake, there are tons of ways to market your business. There's email marketing, link distribution, search engine optimization, pay per click, classifieds, videos, social networks, content marketing...it's no wonder people feel overwhelmed!
Once again, here is a bit of advice I wish someone had told me. Just slow down! Learning all of these things at once will just set you up for burnout. That's a big reason why so many people fail and just give up.
Is it so surprising? It takes time. Time to learn each method and perfect it. Pay per click, for example. That is extremely powerful. However, if you don't do it right you can end up spending tons of money with little results. And the point is to make money, right? The point is to have more time, not less. This can all be very stressful.
If you are guilty of trying to do everything at once I want you to stop right now. Let's say that another way. If you do not generate leads every single day using just one of these methods you are simply not doing it right. Don't worry, we all have to start somewhere. You're not alone, trust me. But in order to create a successful network marketing business you need to perfect each method. It won't come easy and it won't come quick. But with consistent action and practice, it will happen. After all, practice makes perfect. Right?
So, my best advice is to pick one or two marketing strategies and then stick with it until you get the results you are after. I know, it doesn't seem like much. However, when you start doing each one properly you will see how valuable this advice is. Pick one or two things and do those things consistently every single day. Learn everything you can about each one and keep at it. Only then will it be time to add another marketing method.
Let's take a look at content marketing. Submitting an article to just a few article directories is not enough. I don't remember the exact quote, but Anthony Robbins said to see massive results you need massive action. So, first write an article. Place that article on your website and then submit it to all the social bookmarking sites out there. Then rewrite that article and post it to the article directories. Then post it to your blog. Finally, be sure that when someone writes a comment that you write them back. Do you see how much more effective this is than just posting an article on an article directory?
There's a good deal to it! There's a lot to most marketing methods. And that's just fine. In time you will become so good that it will take you 2 hours to do each one correctly. How would you like to generate 20 leads or more every single day using just one method? Does that sound good? That is exactly why you want to slow down and master each method.
