Successful People Take Responsibility

Successful people take responsibility for their actions. They realize that denying and blaming others will not bring them the desired success.

Successful people know that they are responsible for the choice that they make in life and by blaming others, robs them of the lessons that they must learn to achieve success.


If we deny our mistakes or fail to take responsibility for them, we are simply loosing out on a chance to grow.

In order to achieve success in life, you must get out there and experience life. When you are out there in the world, working on your goals, you will make mistakes. These mistakes will be a part of your story. They will be a part of what makes you interesting.

Do not be afraid to make mistakes, it is a part of your journey. When things go wrong, embrace it, it is an opportunity to grow.

Successful people know that it is not really what happens to you but how you respond to what is happening. When you are in conflict with someone, examine your behavior.

People will respond to you based on what you are offering, that is they will mirror your actions. If you are displaying attitude and resentment in your words and with your body language, this will come back to you in their response.

The out come could be much more successful when you take responsibility and come across with a more positive approach.

Those that fail to take responsibility in life will often fail in life.

• They depend on others for approval and acceptance.
• They are unable to trust themselves and are fearful to take action
• They feel that life is treating them unfairly
• They fail in relationships and business opportunities
• They escape their responsibilities and look for external answers
• They are troubled and stuck and live in fear of success

Those that do not take personal responsibility often feel like a victim.

• They think that life is unfair “so why bother trying”
• They expect other people to “fix” them.
• They feel like they just have bad luck
• They blame their lack of education or that they grew up in lack.
• They feel that no matter how hard they work they can’t get ahead.
• They use prejudice as an excuse as to why the can’t succeed

Success will come to those who develop the skills to take responsibility.

• Accept responsibility for the way you respond to people and circumstances
• Accept that you are responsible for your choices
• Let go of irrational behavior
• Release anger and fear
• Know that blame is non productive
• Eliminate insecurity and mistrust
• Take some risks to achieve your success
• Realize that you are the one that can change your destiny

Take responsibility in every aspect of your life, not just with your business dealings but also with your family and your health. You are the master of your own ship. You can choose to blame outside circumstances or you can choose to be accountable and grow to the successful person you were meant to be.
