Finding out you're pregnant is a very exciting time in your life. Practically every pregnant mommy-to-be has fears about miscarriage. This worry is completely normal. Here are some symptoms that you should be aware of that could be a sign that you are miscarrying.

Discharge

The #1 sign of miscarriage is discharge. Any bleeding that is brown or bright red is cause for alarm. The bleeding can happen at anytime in your pregnancy. It can occur late term or even before you receive confirmation that you are pregnant. Any pink or clear fluids that flow from the vagina need to be discussed with your doctor. Passing clots can be a serious issue that warrants an immediate call to your doctor. If you can, keep a sample of any discharge for your doctor to identify.

Cramping

Braxton Hicks contractions are common, but cramping that feels like strong menstrual cramps could be a symptom of a miscarriage. Cramping can be constant or sporadic. If you are having cramping, time them and write down the times to see if they are contractions or cramps. Bring your notes with you to your doctor's appointment.

Back Pain

Back pain can be a sign of back labor, but it can also be a sign of a miscarriage. Like every other concern you may have, talk to your doctor about back pain. It may be as simple as your back muscles are reacting to the body changes, kidney infections, back labor or miscarriage.

Dizziness

Dizziness is never a good thing to have to undergo. When you are pregnant and finding that you are dizzy, that can raise concern. Of course the first fear is falling due to the dizziness and harming you and the baby. However, it can be a sign of several things like dehydration, hormones fluctuating or even miscarriage.

Having a miscarriage can be scary and very disheartening. Not knowing whether you are miscarrying or not is even scarier. Not every symptom you may incur means you are having a miscarriage. You should write down all symptoms you experience. Some symptoms can mean you have an infection, are having "false contractions" or Braxton Hicks contractions.
