Target Markets For Promotional Umbrellas

The best thing about umbrellas as a promotional product is that it will be gratefully received and, more importantly, used by anyone and everyone. Give out a bright coloured umbrella with your company’s logo on it at an industry seminar or a trade show and chances are that the visitor to your stand might have to use it right away if the weather brings out a blazing sun or a fierce downpour. Present a potential client with a promotional umbrella and he will be thrilled that he has received something that he can actually use. Gift an umbrella at a product launch party to business associates and invitees and they will be continuously reminded of your company and your product. Distribute umbrellas at the annual stockholders meeting and the stockholders will be appreciative.

Whatever be your target market, you cannot go wrong with umbrellas. If the buyers of your products are male adults, give them a black golf umbrella with your company’s logo printed on one of the panels of the canopy. Chances are he will use it one day, when it is raining and he will ask one of his colleagues, whom he sees on the road without any protection, to share his umbrella. The colleague will ask him how he got your company’s umbrella and when you say that you got it at a company event, they will start talking about your company and its products. Your promotional umbrella has just created a buzz.


If your target market is an adult female, give out a colourful folding umbrella so that she can carry it in her purse or tote bag. Women exchange notes about the products they use all the time and if your company invests in a superior quality umbrella, be rest assured that the adult female will be a talking advertisement for your product.

Teenagers can also prove to be a great target market for promotional umbrellas. Design a striking umbrella for a teenager. Give it a funky design and eye-catching colours. Be bold if you want to catch the teenager’s eye. If the umbrella is a hit with his or her friends, they will beg him or her to tell them where it was found and, depending on the market your business is in they may want to know if they can accompany him or her at the next such event. This will ensure more visitors for your next event and potential customers.
