The most well-known ‘platform’ clairvoyants like John Edward and his show “Crossing Over”, Sally Morgan who is enormous in the UK, and many more. Before this current era we find ourselves in, there seemed to be more shows about debunking psychics as “Charlatans”, but perhaps at the present time people need something additional to believe in! Clairvoyance, of course, is not anything new. People have been using a range of techniques of foretelling from around 1000 BC. Foretelling takes place using many tools by mediums, Mediums, Clairvoyants. Tarot cards, I-Ching, Numerology, Astrology, Psychometry, White Witches, Tea leaves, even the contents of Sheep’s stomachs were used by early Shamen and soothsayers. Houdini (famous escapologist) promised his companion that he would contact her in the event he died first, which was always a likely outcome when considering his day job. Famously she tried to contact him with a number of mediums, with disappointing consequences. Elvis (the King) Presley died in 1977, and again in a blaze of publicity on prime time TV in the USA, séances were played out with a clairvoyant called Dorothy Sherry, David Stanley, Elvis' half-brother took part to validate the details that emerged. It seems that the reading was quite exact according to the brother. With all that clairvoyant history that has gone before us, we now use the new machinery like telephones, world-wide-web, SMS, satellite television and TV to do what we always have done, to try and find the answers we all seek.
