Tax Relief: Why We Should Lobby For Lower Taxes

Don’t you think that we are more capable of more sensible saving, investing and spending our money than the government? Think about it: how many Americans actually support the way the government has been tying and untying the national purse strings for the last two decades? Statistics also seem to suggest that the states with the most accelerated growth rates are those with the least taxes. Care to guess which states are growing at a rate of turbo slow? That’s right, the states with the highest taxes. It’s a no-brainer. There’s no better argument for more tax relief.

Quite frankly, it is an unpleasant thought that about 20%-40% of our working hours are spent working just to pad the government’s payroll. (And if those of us in jobs we hate knew this, we’d all be ‘going postal’!). So the plan should be for all of us to engage in a tax relief mission: lobby to keep the greenbacks in our pockets, lobby to prioritize citizens’ spending above government spending, lobby for more responsible government spending, lobby for more tax relief.


Business owners, families and individuals are all faced with a burden of taxes. We pay sales and income tax, state tax, property tax, social security tax, taxes on our lottery winnings, taxes on our savings or bonds, inheritance tax, government fees, federal tax, licenses and some hidden taxes of which the average Joe/Josephine is not even aware. When will we say enough is enough and that ten consecutive years of tax relief is due! (Well, we can wish and hope can’t we? Ten years seems reasonable).
